Mr Moorsom arrived in this Colony in the latter part of 1867 having been then appointed by the Home Government to the office of Surveyor General in this Island.

This Office has however very recently been abolished, and Mr Moorsom, having accepted the appointment which he is now about to assume, finds himself called upon to incur another heavy outlay on his removal hence.
